Project: The Church Hall and Hutchinson Terrace, Romaldkirk, County Durham
Client: The United Charities of Romaldkirk

We are delighted to be instructed by the Trustees of The United Charities of Romaldkirk in connection with this project. The project is in two parts: the conversion and subdivision of the existing Church Hall to provide two one bedroom residential units, and the conversion and modernisation of the properties in Hutchinson Terrace to form two, two bedroom residential units with contemporary bathrooms & kitchens. At the same time the scheme will upgrade the services installations, and provide current standards of thermal insulation to the Hutchinson Terrace properties.
Both properties are Grade II listed and feature mid-late 19C stonework, stone and slate covered roofs, and elaborate stone hood moulds to windows and doors.
We have obtained both Planning Permission and Listed Building Consent for the Works to both properties, and have been granted Building Regulations approval for the Works to the Church Hall. We are currently preparing a tender documentation for both properties with the view of Work commencing on Site late 2020 with Completion in early 2021.
We will act as Contract Administrator and Principal Designer for both projects during the Works, which will be run under separate Contracts.
