Private House, Wylam

The extension of a late Victorian end-of-terrace property on a trapezoidal shaped site. The double-storey extension included the provision of a Garden Room and Utility Room to the Ground Floor, and an additional Bedroom and En-suite facility at First Floor level. The Works also included the remodelling of the existing Kitchen and Bathroom.

The Clients were particularly keen to ensure the extension emulated as closely as possible the materials, style and massing of the existing property. Therefore, the design included component drawings for bespoke sandstone window cills, lintels, mullions and quoins to match the existing buildings for manufacture by a local quarry.

We provided architectural services from inception to completion, including the submission of Planning and Building Control Applications, the provision of Contract Administration and Principal Designer services.
